Passions

From a very young age I was passionate about music, I would dance around the living room with my dad dancing to the opening song to Fresh Prince of Bell Air and sing Martina McBride’s newest single with my mom on a road trip. I sang in music class and would annoy everyone around me for the rest of the day with the song’s we’d learn. In fifth grade I began band playing the trumpet. I was in four different music performance groups including two bands, choir, and drama club. After learning how to sing and play and instrument my passion for music just grew and grew. I appreciate that music is an art and it impacts people in so many ways.

I have been encouraged and supported in my faith as I was growing up and it has always been a priority in my family. I’ve went to church for as long as I can remember. I found my home here on campus, His House Christian church. It has challenged my perspective of who God is and what role he plays in my life. Although I have known Christ for most of my life I have started to develop a personal relationship with Jesus and my life is forever changed. Trusting in the Lord as my savior gives me so much peace. I know that with him, I have the power to accomplish many things with him by my side.

{Have I not commanded you? Be Strong and Courageous. Do not be Terrified; Do not be Discouraged, For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.}

-Joshua 1:9

I am also very passionate about spreading positivity. A smile or a kind word can always brighten someone’s day. One thing I enjoy doing often is encouraging others they are more than capable of achieving their goals. I hope to someday impact someone so much that they say, “Because of you I didn’t give up.”
